The so-called World Anti-Imperialist Platform (WAP) —the apologists for the Russian and Chinese bourgeoisie in their imperialist competition with the US and the Euro-Atlantic camp— are once again exposed.

At a time when they indulge into fantasies about “anti-imperialist axes” and “anti-fascist fronts”, they remain silent about the fascist meeting of the “Paladins” held a few weeks ago in St. Petersburg. Under the official auspices of the Russian state and the ruling United Russia party, fascist scum from all over the world assembled there, including members of the Nazi Golden Dawn party (https://www.rizospastis.gr/ story.do?id=13056429&textCriteriaClause=%2B%CE%A0%CE%91%CE%9B%CE%91%CE%9D%CE%A4%CE%99%CE%9D).

Led by the well-known anti-KKE obsessive Patelis, theoretical instructor of the WAP, they know believe that they have found an opportunity to launch a vulgar offensive against the KKE and the parties with which it cooperates.

This time, they are targeting the Communist Party of Venezuela and, through it, the KKE, repeating the absurd claim that the CP of Venezuela (and, by extension, the KKE) is aligned with the forces of María Corina Machado — forces that call on the US to intervene militarily to overthrow the Maduro government.

- Are they unaware that the KKE has, for decades, condemned and opposed every US attack, sanction and coup attempt against Venezuela?

- Are they unaware of the long-standing struggles of the Communist Party of Venezuela, in all forms, against imperialist interventions in their homeland?

- Are they unaware of the recent Joint Statement signed by more than 30 Communist and Workers’ Parties (http://www.solidnet.org/article/CP-of-Mexico-Joint-Statement-STOP-THE-U.S.-MILITARY-THREAT-AGAINST-VENEZUELA/) which explicitly condemns “the current deployment of US military forces in the Caribbean, on the orders of the Trump administration, threatening Venezuela under the pretext of the fight against drug trafficking”, exposing US imperialist interventions in the region over time?

- Are they unaware of the statement issued by the International Relations Section of the CC of the KKE, which, as early as 21/9/2025 (http://inter.kke.gr/en/ articles/We-condemn-the-escalation-of-US-imperialist-aggression-against-Venezuela/), expressed the KKE’s solidarity with the Venezuelan people, condemned imperialist aggression and the deployment of the US fleet in the Caribbean and denounced the threats against Venezuela?

- Have they not seen the numerous statements, articles and interviews published in Tribuna Popular, the newspaper of the CP of Venezuela, condemning and opposing any scenario of imperialist aggression against their country?

These are rhetorical questions that underscore the anti-KKE mission they have undertaken. Their degeneration has reached the point where they even rejoice at the anti-communist measures and persecutions of the bourgeois state, which, through a court decision, intervened in the internal affairs of the CP of Venezuela. That decision recognized as the “genuine” CP of Venezuela a group of people, most of whom are members of the ruling social-democratic PSUV party and are clearly carrying out an assigned mission.

What troubles this group the most, both in our country and internationally, is that there exist communist parties such as the KKE and the CP of Venezuela that refuse to become the tail of the bourgeoisie, that do not identify the interests of the working class and the people with those of anti-popular bourgeois and social-democratic governments, as in Venezuela, and that pursue an independent policy in defence of the working class and its interests.

The KKE has made it clear that the true objective of the US government is to intervene, even militarily, in the internal affairs of Latin American countries, having prepared the ground with various political puppets, such as the opposition leader who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. US imperialism seeks the complete alignment of the region with its economic and geopolitical interests, against its rivals, Russia and China, with whom the Venezuelan bourgeoisie and the current social-democratic government have deepened their relations.

The pretext of drugs and threats against the Venezuelan people, who alone have the right to determine their own future and the political situation in their country, must be met with a decisive response.

We must condemn not only the US, but also its allies, including the Greek government and other parties that show great “sensitivity” in defending borders and sovereignty when Euro-Atlantic interests are at stake, yet remain silent —and in practice complicit— in the murderous interventions and plans of the US–NATO–EU against other peoples.

The KKE, together with dozens of other communist parties around the world, will continue to uphold the principles of proletarian internationalism in practice, to work for the revolutionary regroupment of the international communist movement, and, in this course, to confront provocations resolutely.
