In its statement on the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, the Press Office of the CC of the KKE notes that: “The state of Israel is escalating its criminal offensive against the Palestinian people. Up until today, the Israeli air raids in the Gaza Strip have resulted in the death of over 10 Palestinian civilians and dozens of wounded. At the same time, the mobilization of 40,000 Israeli reserves paves the way for a ground invasion against the Palestinian people, with incalculable consequences.

The escalation of the criminal activity of the Israeli state against the Palestinian people is encouraged by the political line of the EU and USA, which equates the victims with the persecutors and enhances the political, economic and military relations between the EU and Israel.

The KKE will continue to struggle so that the solidarity of the Greek people with the Palestinian people is expressed and concerning its just demand for the creation of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. At the same time, it calls on the Greek government to cut off every form of military cooperation with Israel.”
